I have known Katelyn since she was only four months old… and I really can’t believe how much she has grown. Just a few months ago, she looked like this:

And now, she is such a big girl!

We had a lovely session in Lincoln Park this past October… She had her butterfly wings on for Halloween:

Another fabulous shoot at my new favorite spot, northerly island. Ann and Tony are good friends of ours, and we just don’t get to see them often enough:

Red Sox fans

They met during college at Boston U, which is where their love for the Red Sox began. And now, several years later, they have their own little Red Sox minions Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Gordon family, who are very good friends of ours. Their youngest, Luke has just turned one year old, and to celebrate this milestone they decided to have some family photos taken. Luke was lounging on the porch waiting for us to arrive. (Note: No underage drinking occurred during this photo shoot.)

Here’s the whole fam. Yay for baseball! (Even if it isn’t my team!)

Luke was a little wary of my camera at first, but I did end up catching a few smiles!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting the O’Donnells for a family portrait session. My last session with them was actually a couple of years ago, and the kids have grown sooo much! Here are few of my favorites:

We met at Northerly Island which has SO many great spots for photos. I love the yummy light in this one:

It didn’t take much to get Taylor to ham up for the camera. She is such a pretty girl:

And Logan is getting cuter every day:

two very different shoots

I love people. As corny as it sounds, it couldn’t be more true. I love that what I do allows me to meet and interact with people I may never have spoken to otherwise. I love seeing what makes people tick, watching how families interact and how they laugh together. Because in the midst of all the newness of the family I’m working with, I find myself reminded of my own home and family and remember that at the end of it we are all very much the same. Today I spent the morning with a beautiful family…

…who were gathered in celebration of Jack’s baptism… (You knew I had to sneak in a cute baby photo. I simply can’t help myself when one is so readily available!) But really, who could resist this amount of chub? Not me.

And I was assisted by my good friend Chris. Thanks Chris!

After a quick stop at home, I met up with some fellow photographers for a ‘trash the dress’ session, organized by the lovely and insanely talented Melissa Diep.

I had a great day filled with all sorts of people – clients, models, peers, friends, family- they all put a smile on my face keep me going! Two very different shoots to culminate in one perfect day. More photos coming soon!
